Things I did today that scared me:

May 12, 2011

I put the bug outside.
I merged in the rain.
I used my new phone with the many many buttons.
I called my accountant and we had the numbers talk.
I drove across the slippery bridge over the river wild and deep.
I pressed Pay and signed myself up for a weekend
of magic and horses.

The strange gift of being afraid of
everything
is that you stop waiting to feel brave.
You get things done still quaking, and then
suddenly
you’re not so scared anymore.
I’m launching a new class to talk about this,
and it feels as new and sweet and precious
as a newborn.
If you’d like to join me, I’d be honored.

Sounds like a very cool workshop. Having suffered from panic attacks for the whole time I was in Japan and for a year before I made the leap your blog brought a tear to my eye. Doing things that scare you is like beating back a dragon… or even a demon if you want to get religions! And surprisingly its small moves that are so very rewarding. BTW haven’t had a panic in a very long time and I’m very proud of myself for being able to say that. Keep up the good work baby. I’m very proud of you! Go get ’em!
