Homecoming in four acts

March 30, 2013

Plane shuttle taxi luggage.

I emerged blearily and dragged
us to the store for groceries.
Little girl crashed in the car and had to be carried.
No wallet at checkout!
Home again, wallet found.
Back for groceries.

Finally we go to the park, where the
emails ping into my phone.
Ay, I’m behind.
Someone is angry at me.
Someone wants something.
Someone is waiting patiently.

But here right now,
the air smells like heaven.
Pink yellow cream nectar.
So I keep myself company.
The green soaks up through my toes.
I breathe the beauty,
in and out,
and in again.
