A day for impossibilities

October 22, 2013

Sadness and fear everywhere you look.
I mourned with a friend today;
heartbreak once removed.
Stop everything.
Still, the world shimmers.
This might mean I’m heartless,
but on the other hand it might give me back my heart.
The golden leaves hover.
Twilight falls.
Things happen, like when the frantic mom cried
Have you seen my kid?
and strangers sprang into action–
scattering, searching, calling as dark fell–
not stopping until he was found.
Like little girl proclaiming,
This pumpkin pie is like HEAVEN to die for.
